Community Rules

NikahNow is for Muslims who are genuinely seeking marriage. These Community Rules apply across profiles, photos, messages, reports, and other activity connected to the platform. They work alongside our Terms of Service and Safety guidance.

1. Marriage intentions only

Use NikahNow only if you are genuinely seeking a spouse. The platform is not intended for casual dating, sexual encounters, advertising, networking, or collecting attention and matches without serious marriage intent.

2. You must be 18 or over

You must be at least 18 years old to use NikahNow. Do not create or operate an account for anyone under 18.

3. Be truthful about who you are

• Use accurate and current profile information.
• Do not impersonate another person or create a misleading identity.
• Do not use fake, stolen, manipulated, or misleading photos to misrepresent yourself.
• Do not deliberately misrepresent your intentions or other material information to another member.

4. Treat people with respect

Disagreement or lack of compatibility is not an excuse for abusive behaviour. You must not:

• Harass, threaten, intimidate, bully, stalk, or repeatedly contact someone who has made it clear they do not wish to continue.
• Use hate speech, degrading language, or discriminatory abuse.
• Send sexually explicit, obscene, or otherwise inappropriate content.
• Pressure another member into sharing photos, personal details, contact information, money, or anything else they do not want to share.

5. No scams, money requests, or financial exploitation

Do not use NikahNow to request money, financial assistance, gifts, investments, cryptocurrency, banking details, card information, or other financial information from another member. Do not promote or participate in fraud, scams, or deceptive schemes.

6. No spam, advertising, or solicitation

Do not use the platform to advertise or sell unrelated products or services, recruit people into schemes, send repetitive promotional messages, distribute spam, or direct members to external services for commercial purposes.

7. Respect privacy

Do not publish, share, or threaten to share another person's private information, messages, images, contact details, or other personal information without permission. Be cautious about moving conversations off-platform and never use external communication to evade these rules.

8. No illegal or dangerous activity

Do not use NikahNow to encourage, arrange, threaten, or facilitate illegal activity, violence, exploitation, or conduct that creates a serious risk of harm to another person.

9. Report concerns rather than escalating them

If another member breaks these rules or makes you feel unsafe, use the in-app Report feature where available. You can also contact us through our Contact page. Do not retaliate, threaten, or attempt to publicly expose another member.

10. Enforcement

We may review reports and platform activity and may remove content, restrict features, suspend an account, or terminate access where we reasonably believe these rules or our Terms have been breached. Serious conduct may result in immediate action.

We may also take action where behaviour connected to interactions arranged through NikahNow creates a material safety risk to other members.
