  • Communication Information: Messages exchanged with other users or with our support team through the Platform's communication features.
  • Sensitive Personal Information: Information relating to your religion, ethnicity, or health, which you may choose to provide voluntarily for your profile or matchmaking preferences. We process this only with your explicit consent.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • Providing and Managing Services: To create and manage your account, verify your identity, enable profile creation, facilitate matching based on compatibility and preferences, allow communication between users, and process payments for subscriptions.
  • Platform Improvement & Personalization: To understand how users interact with our Platform, analyze usage patterns, improve features, personalize your experience, and develop new services.
  • Safety and Security: To detect and prevent fraud, spam, abuse, security incidents, and other harmful activities; enforce our Terms of Service; and protect the rights and safety of our users and the public.
  • Customer Support: To respond to your inquiries, troubleshoot issues, and provide assistance.
  • Legal Compliance: To comply with applicable UK laws, regulations, legal processes, or governmental requests.

  • With Other Users: Information you choose to display on your public profile is visible to other registered users as part of the matchmaking service. Your direct messages are only visible to the recipient(s).
  • With Service Providers: We share information with trusted third-party vendors who perform services on our behalf, such as cloud hosting, data storage, identity verification, payment processing, communication delivery (email/SMS), customer support tools, and analytics. These providers are contractually obligated to protect your information and use it only for the services they provide to us.
  • With Chaperones (Walis): If you utilize the chaperone feature, selected chaperones may receive transcripts of relevant conversations as part of the feature's functionality, based on your setup and consent.
  • For Legal Reasons: We may disclose your information if required by law, subpoena, or other legal process, or if we have a good faith belief that disclosure is reasonably necessary to (a) comply with legal obligations, (b) enforce our Terms of Service, (c) detect or prevent fraud or security issues, or (d) protect the rights, property, or safety of NikahNow, our users, or the public.
  • Business Transactions: In the event of a merger, acquisition, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to standard confidentiality arrangements.

5. Marketing and Advertising

You can opt-out of receiving promotional emails at any time by clicking the "unsubscribe" link in the email footer or by adjusting the notification preferences in your NikahNow account settings.
