Welcome to NikahNow, your dedicated UK Muslim marriage platform designed for helping Muslims find a spouse through halal matchmaking in an Islamic and respectful manner. This is our official user agreement.

These terms of use (the “Terms”) govern your access to and use of our website, apps, and services (collectively, the “Platform”). By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to comply with and be bound by these NikahNow Terms.

Conditions of Access

To use the NikahNow Muslim marriage service, you confirm that:

  • You are at least 18 years old.
  • You have not been convicted of any serious offences (including hate crimes, terrorism, violence, or sexual offenses).
  • You will register with accurate, truthful personal information.
  • You will use this halal matchmaking service for personal, non-commercial purposes only, seeking marriage according to Islamic rules.

Creating an Account

To use the NikahNow Platform, create an account using a valid email. You agree to provide accurate information and keep it updated for our Muslim marriage site records.

Subscriptions & Purchases

We offer free and paid services on NikahNow. Paid subscription plans renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date via your account settings or the relevant app store.

By purchasing, you authorize recurring payments via your chosen method (e.g., Stripe, App Store, Google Play).

Note: Cancel your subscription anytime via your account settings or the app store. Refunds are generally not provided for partially used periods, except as required by law (see Right to Cancel).

Community Rules

Maintain a respectful Islamic environment on NikahNow. Adhere to these rules:

  • No harassment, abuse, hate speech, or inappropriate/offensive behaviour.
  • No fake profiles, impersonation, or misrepresentation. Honesty is key in halal matchmaking.
  • No spam, scams, or unsolicited commercial promotions.
  • Report violations using the in-app 'Report' feature.

Your Right to Cancel (UK/EU Cooling-Off Period)

If you reside in the UK or EU, you have a statutory right to cancel your paid subscription within 14 days of purchase for a full refund, provided you have not significantly used the paid service features.

User Content

You are solely responsible for the photos, messages, and profile information ("Content") you upload to the NikahNow Muslim marriage site. Ensure you have the rights to share this Content and that it complies with our Community Rules.

We reserve the right, but have no obligation, to monitor and remove Content that violates these Terms or Islamic values promoted by the platform.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these NikahNow Terms occasionally to reflect changes in our service or legal requirements. We will notify you of significant changes. Continued use of the Platform after updates signifies acceptance of the revised user agreement.

App License

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the NikahNow app on devices you own or control, for your personal, non-commercial use only on our Muslim marriage platform.

You **may not**: modify, copy, distribute, sell, lease, reverse engineer (unless permitted by law), or create derivative works of the app.

Apple App Store Users

If you downloaded the NikahNow app via the Apple App Store, you acknowledge that Apple is not a party to these Terms and has no obligation for maintenance, support, warranty, or handling claims related to the app. You must comply with Apple's App Store Terms of Service.

Changes to Our App

We continuously improve the NikahNow app and may release updates for security, legal compliance, bug fixes, or feature enhancements/removals. Significant changes affecting your use of the halal matchmaking service will be communicated.

Suspension or Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the NikahNow Muslim marriage platform if you breach these Terms, misuse the service, engage in fraud, or if required by law. Termination for breach results in forfeiture of any subscription fees paid.

Closing Your Account

You can close your NikahNow account anytime via:

Crucial: Deleting your account does NOT automatically cancel active subscriptions. You MUST cancel subscriptions separately via the original payment provider (Apple App Store, Google Play Store, Stripe).

Your Responsibilities

As a user of this Muslim marriage service, you are responsible for:

  • Your interactions with other users (online and offline).
  • Protecting your personal information. Review our Safety Tips.
  • Reporting suspicious or inappropriate behaviour promptly via the app’s Report feature or contacting support.

Our Responsibility (Limitation of Liability)

While NikahNow strives to provide a reliable halal matchmaking service, we do not guarantee compatibility with all devices, uninterrupted service, or the accuracy of user-provided information. We provide the Platform "as is".

To the extent permitted by law, NikahNow is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, business losses, or damages resulting from your failure to install updates or provide necessary information. Our liability for foreseeable loss or damage caused by our failure to use reasonable care and skill is not excluded or limited where it would be unlawful to do so.
